Great value in this refreshing, lightly oaked Niagara Chardonnay. Balanced, wet stone minerality, medium plus acidity, medium body. Blood orange zest, green apple and a hint of vanilla bean. Paired well with a grilled chicken spinach salad with sliced almonds and quinoa sprinkles. Tasted 2016 vintage in March 2019. 89 points. Great option to buy by the case at an accessible price point.

Redstone Chardonnay 2016, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Redstone is owned by Niagara's Tawse Winery. This Niagara Chardonnay is rich with ripe apple, pear, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger spice flavours on the palate. The wine is matured one year in French oak barrels. Redstone Winery was named for the large stones and red clay soils of the vineyard. Drink: 2019-2023. 398966 12.50% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 90/100. January 7, 2022 Best Value White Wine.
