A dry, crisp, mouthwatering and accessible white which pairs well with white fish. A delicate nose, of pear and savoury. On the palate showing Asian pear, mandarin orange zest, savoury herb, white pepper. Paired well with traditional Belizean fish tacos Good value. Tasted 2016 vintage in January 2019. 89 points

This is an extremely modest price for such a nice little wine.
Marche's southern border, near Abruzzo, is where this one comes from.
This is a great producer from the area. De Angelis are a family run winery that hand harvest, use natural yeasts, and have been recently certified organic.
Pecorino is often overshadowed by the more famous Verdicchio, which has many appellations nearby.
Verdicchio is lean and crisp, while Pecorino has a softer more inviting character. Aromas of white peach, vanilla, with a bit of an herbaceous snap.
Examples like this have a great midpalate too. A slight honeyed character on the finish.
If you are wondering what similarities exist between this wine and the cheese Pecorino, they're both named after goats (pecora).
The cheese is made with goats milk and the wine grapes were apparently a favourite of the grazing animals as they moved from pasture to pasture.
That might not be a bad pairing, too. marinated quail or scallops served carbonara with Pecorino cheese
