Delicious and a great price. Aromas of ripe, red berry, cedar, and a touch of mint. Robust and smooth on the palate, with lots of red fruit and bright acidity. Enjoy with grilled beef kebabs.

Lovely Carmenere influenced by the volcanic pebbly soil of the Maipo Valley. Wine pours an attractive deep ruby colour. Generous aromas of cinnamon, cloves and black fruit. Full bodied with smooth, ripe tannins with fig, cassis and some vegetal notes. Ends well with a lasting finish of sweet spice and dark cherry. Pair with pasta in a roasted pepper cream sauce or lamb dish. Tasted: Nov 2018
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

3A gorgeous medium ruby colour with sparkling orchid purple the reflections. A burgeoning fruity bouquet showing dark plum, ripe blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate and paprika spices. Flavours repeat these notes with elements of blueberry and raspberry compote and black olive brine. Refreshingly vibrant medium acidity that balances with the medium plus body and polished silky medium plus tannins and a lingering spiced heat finish. Pair with roasted meats and peppercorn sauces. 92 points - tasted October 23, 2018

Ruby red with a purple hue. Violet petals, ripe blackberry, integrated baking spices. Full body. Balanced. Pairs well with pan seared tuna, or tuna sashimi. Tasted 2017 vintage in October 2018. 93 points

Carmenere 2017, from Tarapaca Gran Reserva Vineyards, harvested in the Maipo Valley of Chile, offers aromas of dark skin plum, blackberry, green bell pepper, sandalwood and oak. Pleasing to look at, this deep maroon wine offers a balanced full body with a long finish on the palate, showing flavors of dark cherry and plum, wet gravel, vanilla and oak. Pair with lamb or pasta. Enjoy. Tasted at Chateau Laurier winemakers from Vina San Pedro’s properties, Tarapaca Gran Reserva Vineyards.
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This Carmenere comes from the Maipo Valley in Chile. It has a complex bouquet with aromas of raspberry, plum, violet, red pepper, leather, sweet spice, and cocoa. It is full-bodied with nice acidity and smooth tannins on the palate. It has tart plum, blackcurrant, and sweet spice flavours, as well as a lingering black pepper finish.

Wine-Food Pairing: Lamb. Roasted pork.

Tasted October 2018 at the Vina San Pedro wine tasting event.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A 100% Carmenere from Chile's Maipo Valley. Exciting, fragrant and flavourful from start to finish! The spicy nose shows vegetal red pepper and olive, along with clove and pepper. Full-bodied palate expresses dark fruits(blackberry, plum, blackcurrant) as well as raspberry, pomegranate and hint of paprika. Smooth tannins and lingering rich finish complete the picture. Excellent choice with roast pork or lamb, meats in Chimichurri sauce, salmon, tuna or try it with Parmesan cheese and Prosciutto.
Tasted Oct. 2018 with the winemaker, Sebastien Ruiz.
