Jane Staples rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Heavenly aromas of ripe cherries, dark chocolate, sous bois and tobacco. Rich, layered palate replays these with exquisite balance and mouthwatering acidity. Velvety tannins and a lingering finish that goes on and on. Pair with Parmesan cheese or roast suckling lamb.
Tasted Sept. 2018
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Instead of a Cabernet Sauvignon with your next steak - try this! Delicious Tempranillo that will leave you wanting more! A good friend said she bought 6 bottles - I hope she left some in the store. Ripe dark berries; blackberry, black cherry, plums and vanilla with a touch of smokiness. Tannins are evident but smooth. Luscious mouthfeel with plenty of juicy fruit. I'm envisioning washing down a bbq'd medium steak or ribs slathered with smokey bbq sauce. Tasted September 16, 2018.
Colin McKone rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of plum, leather, ink, black cherry and blackberry. It is fulled bodied with well balanced acidity and tannins. On the palate you get flavours of ripe black fruit and black pepper. This will pair well with grilled red meats. Tasted on September 16, 2018.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Beauty. Aromas of dark berry, leather, vanilla and dried spices. Full bodied and spicy on the palate, lots of dark fruit, leather and spice. Enjoy with braised beef.
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A spectacular Crianza! 100% Tempranillo grapes, aged in American Oak gives way to heady vanilla, leather and blackberry jam aromas, with a hint of violet flowers. This inviting bouquet transforms into a long lasting peppery cherry finish. Balanced acidity and tannins, with a velvety mouth feel.
Perfect with red sauce pasta dishes or red meat.
A wonderful hostess gift!
Enjoy now or lay down for another 2-5 years.
Tasted Sept 2018.
