The South African winemaker at Maverick crafts a big and brash Cali-style Syrah-Merlot (avoiding the Cali-style alcohol content - this one clocks in at "just" 14%). Think jam and more jam - blackberry, black currant with spice, caramel and ripe cherry notes. Delicious! Sings out for a juicy steak or grilled portobello mushrooms.

A beautiful blend of Syrah and Merlot, lots of fruit on the nose!
Blackberry jam, eucalyptus, and oak, with a black pepper finish.
