SunRock Vineyards are unique in that they live on the edge of a desert moderated by the cool breezes that come off Osoyoos Lake just 200 feet below. Cool at night and hot during the day gives this robust and juicy Cabernet Sauvignon its ripe, rich fruit flavours and balanced acidity. Even on the nose, this wine is delicious and spicy with pronounced ripe blackberry and black currant. The Cabernet Sauvignon is dry, full-bodied, rich, layered with dark plum fruit, juicy blackberry, black currant (not cassis) and dark chocolate flavours on the palate. Tannins are smooth and approachable, and the finish is long and smooth with more rich berry and dark chocolate flavours. The Cabernet Sauvignon vines are hand-pruned, thinned at berry-set and post harvest and the fruits of this loving labour are hand-harvested. The wine underwent full malolactic fermentation and was aged in French and American oak. Pair with prime rib and a big satisfied smile.
