Elizabeth Vickers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Well, well, well...its been awhile since I've indulged with the Zin. Maybe the mood, maybe the food, but
a thoroughly enjoyable bottle of Zinfandel with Elizabeth on a Sunday evening mid September. Served with
rare filet mignon, potatoes, and brocolli. Some cheese and fresh buns complimented the main course.
Got to love the Zin!
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

On the nose, there is sun-soaked, ripe, and juicy aromas of strawberry and blueberry, along with violet, chocolate, and cloves. On the palate, the sun drenched dark berries follow through, as well as flavours of chocolate, espresso, some floral notes, and black pepper at the finish. It is full-bodied, has some sweetness, and gentle tannins.

Wine-Food Pairing: This would go great with a pulled pork sandwich that is smothered in barbecue sauce.

Wineboy rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Creedence Clearwater Revival bemoaned being "stuck in Lodi again". I'd be happy to spend some time there because of Zin's like this. This is almost prototypical of Lodi Zin. Big plummy overripe fruit with a candied fruit nose and a certain sweetness on the finish. Fully new world showing some fresh plum jam notes too. Not a serious wine but seriously good with BBQ ribs especially if they are covered in a sauce that has some sweetness in it.

Ironstone Zinfandel 2016, Lodi, California, United States: The 2016 vintage of Lodi's Ironstone old vine Zinfandel is smoky fruit with Zinfandel wine grapes sourced from grapes vines that are over 45 years old. Easy to drink and easy to fall in love with. Perfect with your favourite gourmet burgers on the grill. Hickory woodsmoke, campfire all the way. Ironstone delivers extreme value in the glass at many price points. Pair this blockbuster red with BBQ chicken or ribs. Drink: 2018-2022. 951889 14.50% D 750 mL  $19.25 Score: 90/100.
