Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Great value wine. Aromas of black currant, cherry, vanilla, and smoke. Full bodied and smooth, with lot of ripe, jammy black fruit and a smoky finish. Enjoy with grilled burgers and sausages.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The Ultimate Longshot - organically grown Estate grapes. Living up to its name with an abundance of fruity gusto. Deep and rich with dark plum, black cherry, cedar wood, and rich vanilla extract with a hint of milk chocolate nuances lingering in the bouquet. Flavours are full and juicy showing prunes, figs and cassis. Ripe and plummy with a full body and finish. Tannins are medium plus - much of them coming from the oak ageing. Fruit loaded and jam packed with lingering sweetness at the end. A stellar meatloaf and burger wine. Take a longshot and hit on point with this catchy Cali Cab. - Tasted September 2018
Colin McKone rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of plum, blackberries, raspberry and vanilla. It is fulled bodied with medium acidity and tannins. It has flavours of plum, raspberry, blackberry with a hint of toasty vanilla. This will pair well with hamburgers or anything red meat served at your next BBQ. For a California Cab this wine is an amazing value. Tasted on September 16, 2018.
