Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of ripe golden apple, pear, lime, along with some stony minerality and a hint of warm spice. Full bodied and luscious on the palate, this wine feels like it was oak aged but it is unoaked. Lots of ripe apple and pear on the palate with a warm spicy note kn the finish. Enjoy with creamy cheeses or an herbed roasted chicken.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Buttery, full-bodied Cali Chardonnay with cilantro notes, crisp apple and hint of vanilla bean. Pair with chicken tortilla soup topped with cilantro. Tasted 2016 vintage in July 2017. 89 points
Jane Staples rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An unoaked chard that show shows you can maintain rich flavours and texture without using oak. Luscious flavours of banana and tropical banana with a hint of lime on a satiny luxurious palate.

Monique Sosa reviewed this wine as follows:

Alluring ripe orchard fruit aromas, yummy concentrated tropical fruit flavours, and a scrumptious fatty mouthfeel. This wine surprised me, the "unoaked" mention on the label steered me in a different direction as this wine carries attracted weight and butteriness on the palate. I'm loving it! Enjoy with succulent stone crab, sashimi and tuna tartar. Tasted May 2018 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

On the nose, there are peach, bruised apple, and tropical fruit aromas, mostly pineapple, as well as mineral notes.

It is rich and creamy on the palate with peach, clementine, tropical fruit, and and a slightly bitter almond finish.

Enjoy this wine with chicken or pasta in a cream sauce or with sharp cheeses.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pale straw with green reflections. The bouquet shows, grapefruit, green apple and graphite minerals with a note of lime skins. Flavours reveal, pomelo citrus and lemon pith. Medium plus acidity with a rich body encompassing flavours of cheese rind and lees driven influences. Pair with grilled cheese sandwiches or pesto pizza. 88 points - tasted May 6 2018
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Tropical and juicy Chardonnay from Joel Gott, in California. It's sourced from all over Cali and represents a decent value on a Chard that balances oak and fruit.
Sunny yellow in colour, it has lot of lemon and yellow plum.
Creamy on the palate, there are whisps of oak, but nothing particularly intense. Coconut, banana, and more yellow plum.
Put it with poultry sausage and grilled veggies. Something flavourful and summery.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tropical fruit aromas with citrus and pineapple notes on the palate. Crisp acidity and nice minerality throughout. Pair with almost crusted whitefish. Tasted May 2018.

Natalie's Review

Joel Gott Wines Unoaked Chardonnay 2016, California, United States: Lovely buttery richness on the nose and palate of this richly layered, full-bodied Californian Chardonnay. Finishes with notes of banana and baking spice. So voluptuous: it's hard to believe there's no oak on this but there isn't. A testament to the ripeness of the grapes themselves. Pair with roast chicken or turkey. Drink: 2019-2023. 458778 13.90% XD 750 mL  $24.95 Score: 90/100. September 15, 2018 Top Rated White Wine. Remarkable Roast Chicken Wine  Full Review
