Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is just so warm and inviting that you can't get mad at it. Warm spice, vanilla, and black fruit notes. There is a beautiful high-toned edge to this wine that cannot be understated. California Merlot done right. 91 Points.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted July 15th, 2018. Colour Dark deep ruby. Legs medium plus. Aromas and flavours of black cherry, raspberry, blueberry, chocolate and cedar. Taste, dry, medium body, dark and red fruit, silky smooth tannin. Finish blueberry chocolate medium. Just a lovely Merlot, easy to drink, very enjoyable. Match it with prime rib or full flavoured cheese.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rich ripe berry fruit forward, full-bodied, balanced. Mocha, dark chocolate, blackberry, Christmas cake baking spices. Pairs well with Mayan chocolate infused Chile con carne. Tasted 2015 vintage in July 2018. 90 points
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautiful nose of black fruit, cedar and a hint of spice. Velvety smooth tannins with flavours of cherry and anise. This was more full-bodied than I was expecting (in a GOOD way!). If you tend to shy away from Merlots because they aren't 'big' enough for you, I encourage you to give this one a try! Excellent value at $25

Would pair well with your next roast or steak. Also very (too?!) easy to drink on its own.

Cherie Cole rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Delicious and juicy, this Merlot presents aromas of ripe blueberries, blackberries, sweet spice and vanilla. Full-bodied and mouthwatering with velvety tannins and a long finish. Pair with roast beef or pork tenderloin with a berry compote. Tasted July 15, 2018.
David Skinner rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby with a garnet rim. Plums, cherries and spice on the nose with particular attention to subtle aromatics like menthol. Juicy red fruits on the fore-palate with fine tannins to follow, there is a toasty finish with enough acidity to give the wine a nice lift. A medium long finish that is well balanced.
Colin McKone rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of plum, blueberry, vanilla, black pepper and blackberry. It is full bodied with medium acidity & tannins. On the palate you are treated with flavours of plum, ripe berries and black pepper spice. This will pair well with pulled pork or BBQ’d ribs. Ignore the movie Sideways and treat yourself to this Merlot. Tasted on July 15, 2018.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Blueberry aromas and flavors with some vanilla on the palate and spice notes lead into a soft finish. Nice array of flavors throughout. Tasted July 2018.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely!! Robust blueberry, plum, vanilla and a hint of warm spice. Full bodied and luscious on the palate, moderate acidity and robust ripe dark fruit on the palate. Nicely balanced and very enjoyable. Pair with a nicely grilled steak.
Wineboy rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

plush smooth plummy fruit with a sweet core well-kissed by vanilla oak. Not a weak Merlot... serve with well done slow cooked BBQ meats.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium-bodied merlot with lots going on. Rich dark, ripe red fruit flavours . Aromas of vanilla, leather and sweet baking spice. Smooth, lush and well-balanced. Pair with Meatballs in mushroom sauce. Tasted: May 2018
Jane Staples rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Supple, satiny, full-bodied California Merlot. Ripe concentrated dark berries and vanilla on the mouthwatering palate. Elegant lingering finish. Enjoy with pork tenderloin.
Tasted May 2018
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

California merlot, which delivers the expected plush fruit, blueberry jam with lots of baking spices like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg. Plush. My friends would love this at our next girls night! Would go well with some milk chocolate.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A plush and inviting wine from Joel Gott. It's a blend of multiple viticultural areas in Cali. This wine has become ubiquitous in many local restaurants.
Modest alcohol (which is really pleasant).
Aromas of plum and cherry preserve. Faint whiffs of oak.
Lots of red and black fruit on the palate. Pleasant, and approachable.
Pair this wine with some ribs and sweet potatoes.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

One of the california merlots that I like. Not over sweet, has good structure but short on the finish. Good summer BBQ wine to go with burgers
