I love the label on this wine - it is another great value wine from Argentina. There is an abundance of lip smacking black fruit, tobacco and spicy black pepper supported by subtle smoke.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as

Dark berries, oak, purple plum, black licorice, warm spice, and a hint of sassafras are the hallmarks of this wine. It's so fun, so mouthwatering, so delicious. 90 points.
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as

Aromas of chocolate, blackberry and tobacco. Astringent with pepper and cherry.
Pair with a food that has similar bitterness (spinach salad, walnuts) or prime rib, peppercorn steak or mushrooms. Could use some more time in the cellar.

Jon Steeves rated this wine as
88/100 with the following review:
Built with big oak, vanilla, big ripe red fruit. An easy drinking Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon with medium tannins, medium acidity, built to offer a bold palate with a medium finish and persistence of smokey red berry. Pair with cottage life, a simmering campfire and great friends. Tasted 2016 vintage in March 2018. 88 points

Catena's Altaland label are interesting contrasts to the rest of their lineup. What makes them distinct is that they are from Salta, the high-up region to thebnorth of Mendoza. The wies here are generally a smidge lighter than mendoza, but also concentrated and highly aromatic.
Pretty purple colouration.
Aromas of plum, bramble, violet, and dried berry. There's a disusting of cocoa.
The flavours are light and bright, for a Cab. Pretty satisfying, though.
Flavours of leather, chocolate, currants, cassis, cherry, and anise.
Pair this one with root vegetables on the barbecue, with a nice cut of meat. Interesting and tasty.

Lots of currant on the nose, along with some warm smoke, tobacco, and a bit of black pepper. Smooth, with balanced tannins, nice acidity, and ripe fruit carrying through on the palate. Enjoy with anything off the grill. Great value.

Argentine is known for good value wines. This is one of them. Blackberry and Cassis aromas. Medium body with balanced tannins and acidity. A good every day steak wine. Tasted March 11, 2018.

oaky, vanilla, and bright black fruits.
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
A garnet hued Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon offering generous aromas of ripe red cherry, black berries, tobacco and savory spice. These spicy, ripe red fruit flavours are replayed on the palate along with a bodacious sensation, and some pleasing suede tannins. Great value. Not a typical Cab and that's a good thing.
March 11, 2018.
