Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A velvety and fruited blended red wine from Buena Vista Winery. Called The Count, named after the winery’s founder Agoston Haraszthy. Comprised of 25% Merlot, 20% Syrah, 19% Petite Verdot, 11% Zinfandel and the remainder - Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Malbec. The magic of this wine really is in the blending! Deep and inky. A voluptuous bouquet- black cherry, dark plum, brambleberry, cassis, licorice, tobacco and herbal elements of blackcurrant leaves. Notes of gravel and wet stones. Flavours are full; cherry pie filling, strawberry, blueberry every, crisp cinnamon, fresh green tobacco leaves and hints of cigar box. Medium plus acidity, body and finish. A hint of paprika, menthol and spice at the end. Very well balanced with well integrated tannins. Pair this with meat lovers pizza, meatloaf or tacos. 91 points. Tasted March 2018
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Count of Buena Vista, Founder’s red blend offers big and bold flavours on the nose and palate. Juicy ripe red berry, blackberry fruit, black cherry, savoury herb, hint of black tea. Medium plus bodied, balanced, integrating alcohol at 14.5% ABV. Approachable, good value and offers a diverse array of pairing options from bbq chicken, gourmet burgers, or a seared rare steak. Tasted the 2014 vintage in Jan 2018. 90 points.
