Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Gracious, condensed and robust delivered in an eye catching bottle. Decant 1+ hours prior to enjoying. A beautiful deep ruby colour with brick reflections, offering a pronounced, juicy bouquet. Cassis, cooked strawberries, leather and ash driven salinity - akin to salty ground seashells and stoney minerals. Flavours elegantly unfold revealing, dark fruit, sour cherries, dried figs, allspice, anise, tobacco and leather. Medium plus acidity, with a full body, tannins and finish. Incredibly well balanced. Perfect pairing for salty grilled strip steak and aged cheeses. 92 points - tasted February 2018
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Beautifully complex, deeply concentrated, big aromatics and rich on the palate. Dry with firm medium plus tannins. On the palate, luscious plum, ripe blackberry, fennel, baking spice. Wow! Long finish with persistence of blackberry and spice. Hats off to the logo designer as well. Pairs well with roast beef and roast fennel root vegetables. Tasted 2013 vintage in Dec 2017. 93 points

Natalie's Review

Re Manfredi Taglio del Tralcio Aglianico 2013, Basilicata DOC, Italy: Purple and black plum aromas, with dark spice and anise. This full-bodied Italian red wine produced by Folonari and bottled by Terre Degli Svevi, has a great smooth, supple texture. Pair with a rare steak. The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
