Yummy wild blueberry aromas as well as violets, eucalyptus leaves, and a touch of wood. In terms of flavours, juicy tart blackberries and sweet spice. The wine has a beautiful harmony between the flavours, the silky tannins, and the fresh acidity. Very nice!

Gran Passione Rosso 2016, Veneto I.G.T., Italy: Lots of sweet chocolate on the nose and palate from generous oak aging. Fleshy ripe purple plums and blueberries on the nose with sweet chocolate and mocha flavours on the palate of this smooth, full-bodied Italian red wine. Intense purple violet tints in the glass. Polished tannins. Vanilla spice sweetness on the finish. Pair with game dishes. Drink: 2017-2023. 410704 14% D 750 mL $17.95 Score: 89/100. November 25, 2017 Best Value Red Wine.
