Monique Sosa rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A full-on, full-bodied chardonnay with intense butterscotch, sweet smoke, cedar (resinous notes masking and underling crips green apple notes. The palate showcases moderate acidity, overpowering oaky notes, and a long tangy finish. Not for me but stile a valued priced full-bodied chardonnay that pairs well with roasted turkey. Jon Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This Cali Chard is Crowd pleasing guaranteed. A fantastic wine to buy by the case. Holiday season favourite. Approachable, accessibly priced and so, so, so smooth. Rich and buttery, creamy mouthfeel. This is bigly oaked and is offering a lot on the palate. Likewise huge is the nose of grilled pineapple and mandarin orange in a gorgeous vanilla custard. Balanced all around. Pairs well with roast turkey dinner, or a creamy bacon infused pasta dish. Pre-release tasted 2016 vintage Nov 2017. Will be LCBO released Nov 12, 2017. 90 points. BespokeTastings
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Robert Mondavi's Private Selection Bourbon barrel aged Chardonnay is one you don't want to miss when it hits the shelves in November at LCBO. If you like California Chardonnay and Kentucky Bourbon (separately of course), then I'd highly recommend picking up some of this creamy and delicious Chardonnay and enjoying it over the holiday season and throughout the winter with Pan seared scallops with a white wine and Bourbon garlic cream sauce or Bourbon bacon scallops with maple syrup. A terrific wine to complement those dishes, whether if served as an hors d'oeuvre or as the main dish in a special meal. This Chardonnay spent time aging in Bourbon barrels thereby imparting an extra pronounced richness and creaminess that is undoubtedly Californian in style. Aromas and flavours of grilled pineapple, Bourbon flambéed poached pears, vanilla biscotti, and golden apple, with sweet tropical and orchard fruits on the finish. This limited edition wine is ideally suited for those that love oaked California Chardonnay and what better time to enjoy this then over the holiday season. Tasted October 2017. 89 points.
