Monique Sosa rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A creamy full-bodied flavourful Chardonnay with prominent tropical fruit notes, vanilla and spice notes topped with a buttery mouthfeel and juicy balanced acidity. Enjoy with roasted turkey and root vegetables. Tasted Sep 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Delicious and ripe, with loads of structure and aging potential. This Chard comes from one of the highest quality regions in all of California for Burgundian varietals: Carneros. Not only that, but this producer pretty much guarantees a good quality wine.
Pale lemon, with a watery rim.
This wine has some nice lemon zest and baked apple notes to the nose. The oak is pretty well balanced and seems less prevalent than previous variations of this wine.
This example of Carneros shows off the brightness a Carneros can have when the fruit shines through malolactic fatness and elevage.
Flavours of lemon juice, vanilla, oat bran, and persimmon. Lip-smacking and energizing!
Clos du Val are proud of their long history and reputation in Napa, but also their more modern focus on small production and quality. Their label is pretty iconic and for many people, they're the introduction to high-end Napa/California. That is because they are one of the most affordable producers with a history as long as theirs. A bargain for the cellar, or have it with fresh scallops and pasta.

Natalie's Review

Clos Du Val Chardonnay 2015, Carneros, Napa Valley, California, United States: An alluring Chardonnay with just the right balance of toasty vanilla oak and ripe pear aromas. There's also some notes of peach and a hint of zesty green apples. Full-bodied richness without too much weight. A superb effort from this producer. Highly recommended.
