Great value on this garnet beauty blend! I love the fact that the blend is big without loads of pepper (likely due to the absence of Syrah). Full body dark red and black fruit, plums, violets and spice. It has a nice round smokey feel without being sharp. It's loaded with aroma and is powerful yet structured and layered. Tastes like big dark fruit, it's not jammy or stewed. Has a long finish and a hint of spicy vanilla. I'm not into big bold reds but I really like this one and I can imagine it being over the top in a few years, the problem is I want to drink it all now. Enjoyed with a slice of rosemary roast beef, oven roasted carrots and parsnips and garlic - Parmesan fingerling potatoes with a side of horseradish. Tasted in Oct of 2017.

This full bodied Australian red from Langhorne Creek is simply delicious! Frank Potts founded Bleasdale in 1858 and the family six generations later is the second oldest wine family in Australia. A fragrant blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Beautifully balanced and quite complex - lots of rich, dark fruit, plum, cassis, violet, earth and smoke. Lengthy vanilla dipped blackberry finish. Decanting suggested.
