Deep ruby colour. Black plum, blackberry, cassis and black cherry notes with toasty vanilla aromas. Silky and sultry tannins with a luscious mouthfeel. I love this wine!
Simon Chen rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A big applause to a napa wine at this price! Beautiful black fruits and not overwhelming sweetness, nice refined structure. Only thing that is lacking is the finish.
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A big New World wine with lots of jammy fruit.…
Presentation: Simple yet classy, somewhat understated, unpretentious
Appearance: Deep ruby
Nose: Medium nose, cigar box, blackberry, black plums, black cherry, caramel, cedar
Taste: Dry, full body, high acidity, strong, round yet drying tannins, with notes of chewy, jammy fruit (blueberries, cherries, plums), leather, cedar, earth
Finish: long jammy fruit, earth and green notes
Overall impression: Big, New World red, with jammy fruit. Needs strong foods, like BBQ meats (ribs, steak, hamburgers), roast beef, or even blue cheese.
Value: 3/5
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby red colour. Aromas of red plums and currants, minty-flowery freshness, with a feint wisp of smoke and vanilla. Velvety and full mouthfeel. well integrated tannins with medium long soft acidity. An elegant Cab overall. Score 93.

Deep ruby, red currant, dried cranberry, oak spice on the nose. Medium bodied, smooth and ripe fruited with red currant, cherry, a floral note and spice show on a silky palate with integrated tannins and fresh acidity.

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I rarely find something wrong with a Joel Gott wine. The wine has loads of briar fruit and red plum, pressed flowers, fresh tobacco, kirsch, and some fresh herb. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Jonathan rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Great value wine @ $25. Rich, full bodied, silky, but maybe just a touch too sweet. Definitely buy again.
