Aromas of farm, cedar and eucalyptus. Bit spicy on the palette with flavours of sour cherry, mint and dried herbs.
Would pair well with hard cheeses, red meats.

Restrained nose of cherry, leather, tobacco. Cherry, dried fruits with food friendly acidity to carry a medium long finish. Great food wine
Greg Hughes rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
This hits the spot for traditional Rioja. It has some pretty lofty claims about "best terroir, best wine" on the label. Yes, it is good though.
This blend is mostly Tempranillo, with a smattering of Grenache and Mazuelo. Two years of white (American) oak give it a really classic feel.
Nice ruby colour. Not a lot of oxidation on it, for how old it is.
Wonderful aromas of mushroom, cherry, blackberry, coconut oil.
The flavours are savoury, but with a great fruit underpinning. Dried scrub herbs, licorice, cherry, plum, a touch of earth, and smoky humidor.
Pair this beauty with some pulled pork or something involving cured ham.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
Beautiful, approachable, old world style at an accessible price point. Well balanced, dry, medium plus bodied, medium acidity, medium alcohol. Garnet. Ripe red berry, aged leather, baking spices. Pairs well with braised red meats, roasted beet spinach salad or falafel platter. Tasted 2011 reserva in November 2018. 90 points #greatvalue

Medium weight but nice mouthfeel and a touch less oak than some reserves. Oak is not smoky nor charred. Beautiful Spanish example.

Old-school Rioja, with cherry, tobacco, tomato leaf, herbs, and a hit of vanilla. 89 Points.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as

Bell pepper and black fruit on the nose with tobacco, mocha and slight raspberry notes on the palate. The finish is smooth with dried flavor notes. Tasted November 2018.
