Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted June 6th 2017. Clear rim , dark tail light red colour. On the nose, black fruit, leather, and stale licorice. Metallic note, hint of cherry. On the palate plum, prune and waxy mouth feel. The wine has been sitting out in a glass for about 1hr before formal tasting. Not much of a finish. When bottle was first opened, the first drink did notice a slight fizz. This is the first time I have tasted this grape variety. I have to believe there are better examples to be had.

A fruity-earthy, lightly dusty aglianico, clearly designed for early drinking, yet still bagged with dusty stewed tomato, wild herbs and some C02 on the palate, along with the variety's noteworthy tannins. Length is also surprising, considering the price category. Whole berry, perhaps some stems? Not too many wines at this price have this much character - a very sharp value indeed. Tasted May 2017. Value Rating: ***
Wineboy rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Wow. Lots of power to the oak and animal/leather aromas. At what point do animal and leather aromas become too much? For me, this one was too much but those lovers of more funky wines may love this.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
