This wine is versatile and crowd pleasing. On the nose, there is a lot of apple, melon and pear, with a hint of vanilla. Bright acidity on the palate this wine is crisp and the use of oak is subtle, providing just a hint of rounding. Lots of apple and pear on the finish. This is a great white option for your backyard get-togethers this summer, and enjoy with chicken, fish, or on its own.

Easy drinking, crowd pleasing Australian Chardonnay from Lindemans. Fantastic value. Pale gold colour with aromas of tree fruit, poached pear, pineapple, toast and a touch of soft vanilla. Flavours reveal golden delicious apples, pink grapefruit citrus and fresh cilantro herbs. High acidity, medium minus body and finish with some zesty crisp fruit forward notes continuing onward. Flavours are intertwined nicely with moderate and restrained oak. Excellent on its own or a pairing for creamy chicken carbonara, and good company. 87 points

Faint aromas with tastes of apple, pear and lemon. If you're scared to buy chardonnay because you think it's going to be too buttery or oaky, try this one as is crisp and moderate-bodied. Beautiful lightly oaked chardonnay, which would be an easy sipper that would pair with many summer foods like fish and chicken. Bring this one to your next BBQ or cottage gathering.

Having watched this wine evolve through the the years it is still a beauty that addresses the demands of most consumers. Lovely oak accents around apple fruit. Some acidity to keep it fresh and fun.

Aromas of pineapple and lemon with a suggestion of vanilla greet the nose on this reasonably priced Australian Chardonnay. It is a medium bodied, moderate acidity and has seen some oak - it is not overly buttery, but smooth and delectable. I'd serve this with seared scallops.

Lindeman's Bin 65 Chardonnay is bursting with ripe tropical and orchard fruit which immediately puts a smile on my face, especially as I think about those quintessential summer aromas. Melon, apricot, sweet corn, banana, and apple notes form the lovely bouquet. The palate is creamy with sweet tropical fruit, caramel, and spicy stone fruit on the finish. An impressive value priced Chardonnay that's ideal served chilled in the summer, and equally tasty served at the table in throughout the year with butternut squash, root vegetables, and roasted poultry. Pick some up next time you head to the cottage or for your summer backyard entertaining. Tasted July 2017. 87 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

The stories that are common in wine circles about how this wine came to be involved the winery doing exhaustive tasting sessions with consumers to hit on the head exactly what the market wanted in a stand-by Australian Chardonnay.
The cellar notes from the winery describe 'rockmelon' which, for those of you without Aussie friends, is a cantaloupe.
This is pretty well balanced and well made. The oak isn't overdone, but is definitely present. This wine plays to those who want a fuller Chardonnay. That being said, it retains a lot of tropical pineapple, nectarine and peach, yellow fleshed apple, and some lightly leesy buttered pastry notes.
Bright lemon colour, with decent acidity. It's sourced from across Southern Australia and sees only French Oak.
Their new label asks what makes you smile. If you're like me, a Chardonnay like this alongside shrimp skewers done on the BBQ in thirty degree weather is a good start!

Sunshine in your glass... all year 'round! Toasty caramel notes on the nose, that carry through to spicy and tropical flavours, with a zesty lime zip mid-palate. Perfect with creamy dishes or salmon.

A reminder of sunny days and patio gatherings, Bin 65 Chardonnay is ripe with a buttery toffee nose and grilled pineapple, caramel, apple, lemon zest and distinct spiciness on the palate. Just enough zippy acidity balances the fruit and oak. Great with grilled chicken with lemon-herb aioli.

Lindemans Bin 65 Chardonnay offers fantastic value for money. This is a crowd pleasing option for festive occasions and seasonal gatherings. Patio friendly and great for pairing with bbq chicken, BBQ salmon kebabs, or a sure option for year-round roasted turkey. Aromatics of Ripe Granny Smith apple, buttered toast. Medium bodied. Well balanced and very approachable. Tasted the 2016 vintage in July 2017. 89 points.
