This wine has tremendous value behind it. It's extremely well made. Really nice and balanced.
Fresh raspberry, orange rind, cocoa dust, and rosehip on the aromatics.
Some nice plum, cherry, and raspberry. It is a medium bodied wine with a fine acidity to keep it fresh. Some savoury spices on the finish pull it together. Let it breathe 20 minutes, before you tuck in to it.
Roasted pumpkin seeds on top of broccoli soup went very well with this wine. It would also pair well with genoa sausage or tenderloin.
Featherstone have a really charming veranda and restaurant at their winery, in Beamsville. It's family run, peaceful, and are a great representation of Niagara style.

87/100 with the following review:
Interesting at best for me. An out-of-place smoky phenolic-iodine note overpowers faint cherry, vanilla and floral notes in this cool climate Niagara Pinot Noir. Acidity is high and mouthwatering, tannins are low and finish showcases a long band-aid flavour. Tasted May 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca

Ruby red with garnet hue. 12% ABV. A low alcohol, medium bodied, smoky oak Pinot noir. French oak barrels have offered a phenolic cloak over the essence of the Niagara cool climate Pinot. This wine shows a bandage like aromatic profile. I'd love to try another vintage of this Pinot with more terroir expression. Tasted May 2017. 87 points.

Featherstone's limited production (140 cases)
2013 Pinot Noir has an intriguing rustic profile that showcases the complexity of wines from one of Canada's premiere sub appelations, the Twenty Mile Bench.
The expressive nose shows cherry, pepper, dried leaves, cured meat, and leather notes that highlight the savoury characteristics of this delicious food-friendly Pinot. Smooth, refreshing and beautifully balanced, this medium-light bodied Pinot has a long cran-cherry and herbal finish that's perfectly suited for enjoying at your table. Pair with autumn and spring meals such as pork roast stuffed with sausage, dried fruit, and nuts, or opt for a lighter summer dish and enjoy with savoury grilled salmon kebabs. Enjoy 2017-2020. Tasted March 2017. 90+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
