Dan Carkner reviewed this wine as follows:
Very dark cherry, opaque, with a pink rim. Dark, dried fruit, black plum and cassis; smoky, charred bell pepper, anise, baking spice, and black olive. The list of aromas goes on as the wine opens. Tart cherry with florals thrown in followed by vanilla, baking spice, and jammed berries on the palate. Old leather, anise, and cigar box prove this wine's complexity. Medium high acidity countered by perceived sweetness from the fruit character, grippy tannins that are approachable now with food but could use some time to soften. A long finish lingers with tobacco, anise, and dried fruit.
Gently smoked and roasted meats with high fat content would pair nicely or cured meats and firm, bold cheeses.

A $100 bottle of wine! Cherry, smoky, with hints of toasted vanilla on the nose.
Smooth, complex, bone dry with eucalyptus.

Opulence, rich and smooth. This wine is at a very good place in it's life. Well-balanced, well-integrated tannins and alcohol. Complex and well structured. Black currant, plum, mint, pomegranate and cassis. Long finish. Beautiful pairing with a rare AAA filet mignon and roasted root vegetables. Tasted March 2017. 94 points.

Black cherry, fig and eucalyptus dominate the nose. On the palate, red apple, raspberry, green pepper, black pepper. This cab still boasts super firm tannins, so pair with a juicy steak or let it cellar for a few more years.

Dark purple with intense aromas of plum, ink, blackberry, cassis, leather, baking spice and dark chocolate. This is a full bodied wine with smooth tannins and well intergrated acidity and alcohol. It is teaming with juicy fruit flavours and leading into a nice long smooth finish. Enjoy this with a nice rare steak. Simply an amazing wine, enjoy every last drop. (Tasted March 26, 2017)

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as
95/100 with the following review:
Opaque garnet with big, beautiful aromas of blackberry, cassis, blueberry, mint, and chocolate. For me, this is what a Cab Sauv should smell like. The taste is voluptuous and velvety with lots of very round tannins, and blackberry, blueberry, and chocolate aromas. More of a roast beef wine that steak because of the roundness. Absolutely fantastic.
