Fantastic! Supple, smooth, deep, complex, balanced. Red berry, pomegranate, dark chocolate, black peppercorn. Savoury. Long finish with persistence of berry and dark chocolate. Pairs well with braised beef. Tasted 2013 vintage in Nov 2017. 93 points. #BespokeTastings

Deep ruby in colour this Australian Shiraz is a nice blend of red and blackberries. Slightly spicy on the tongue with smoky finish. A great big wine with beef, lamb or wild meats.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as
92/100 with the following review:
Deep inky ruby colour with dark cherry, dark plum, fresh bay leaves and a slight sweating of pepper spice. Rich flavours of plum, cassis, dark fruit, ripe blueberry, mint and ground pepper heat on the tongue. Rich and spicy. Medium plus acidity, tannin, and finish with fresh fruity spices at the end. Pair with grilled sausages, and meats. Lamb and pork shoulder.

Mellow aromas of red and dark berries with mocha and slight spice, followed by dark currants, spice and subtle smoky notes on a smooth, balanced palate. Wonderful with filet mignon.

The wine that made us change our mind about Australian Shiraz.…
Presentation: Distinctive label, which we’ve come to associate with very good Australian Shiraz
Appearance: Deep purple, about as dark as you can get – verging on ink
Nose: Medium-to-pronounced nose, jammy black fruit (blackberries, blueberries, cherries), toasted wood, lavender, violets
Taste: Dry, full body, high acidity, high, round yet drying tannins, with notes of jammy black fruit (blackberries), new leather, new toasted wood, cedar, ink
Finish: long jammy blackberries and leather
Overall impression: This Shiraz is big in all respects. It pairs excellently with blue cheese, matching it at each step, which means you need strongly-flavoured foods with this, BBQ or otherwise. Although a little on the expensive side for an Australian Shiraz, it’s worth every penny in our view. Enjoy it now or keep it 2-5 years to see it develop even more.

92/100 with the following review:
Loads of ripe black fruit, with more than a dollop of oak to almost match. Softer acids, which accent the ripeness of the fruit. Power, and richness. An Aussie wine lovers dream.
Caitlin Coleman rated this wine as
92/100 with the following review:
One of the most polished Shiraz’s ive ever tasted! Rich chocolate and mocha aromas with dark fruit on the nose. High alcohol levels bring out all the black fruit on the palate. Absolutely appetizing with red meat and hard cheeses.

Jammy wine but has good tannin. If you like big aussie shiraz, this is a good choice

Meaty aromas with lots of plum, cherry, and black pepper. The taste is full and rich with some dark chocolate coming through. Big, spicy, and well structured.
