Cora Beaulieu rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This wine is an excellent Bordeaux-esque blend of red grapes from Napa Valley, California. It is a dark but bright purple color. Up-front there is a light floral aroma on the nose with intense additional aromas of blackberries, blueberries, crushed graphite and earthy notes. There is a little underlying aroma of cedar and hints of vanilla and toasty oak. Great velvety mouth-feel and is a medium plus dry wine with grippy tannin. Medium plus finish tastes of sweet cherry, currant, blackberry, clove, vanilla, and caramel. [Tasted Mar/2017]
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is a gorgeous wine. Deep, dense and dark. Long finish, Integrated, well-balanced. Voluptuous and silky smooth. Napa Valley smooth and supple, red berry fruit-forward red blend. Tasted March 2017. 92 points.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

I don't know where, I don't know when, but...

Plum, black cherry, sassafras, fresh hide, tobacco, and a hint of meat blood. 93 points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Napa Bordeaux blend of 60% Cabernet and 40% Merlot. Opaque and brooding in colour this is the work of two next generation winemakers who grew up in St. Helena. Aromas of dark chocolate, smoke and blackberries. Plenty of fruit on the palate with smooth tannins and supple mouthfeel. Tasted March 26, 2017.
Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The palate follows the nose of incredible dark fruit. Full bodied and great pepper finish. Sorry world, I can't spit this one.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Deep purple with aromas of plums, dusty dried herbs, cedar, mocha, and forest floor. The taste is huge, with plum, black cherry, smoke, and very rounded tannins. Voluptuous. This gives you and idea of why blends are good; it would be very difficult to get these properties from a single varietal.
Colin McKone rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A wonderful Napa valley red wine with intense aromas of black cherry, black berries, plum, black pepper and smoke. It is full bodied with moderate tannins and well intergrated acidity and alcohol. Forward black fruit flavours on the palate with black pepper on the finish. This will go nicely with a BBQ ribs or a juicy steak. (Tasted on March 26, 2017)
