Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A lovely blend from South Australia. The bouquet is inviting with the scent of cherry, blackberry and vanilla. The palate is complex and well balanced with enticing flavors of cherry, wood, mint, licorice and a persistent finish. Enjoy with rosemary crusted rack of lamb. Tasted December 2017.
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Nose of cedar, leather and tobacco. Red with forward fruit character. Pair with pork, lamb or spaghetti.

Jane Staples rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A Cab-Tempranillo blend from Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia. Aromatic dark garnet with ripe cherry, vanilla and cassis notes. The smooth, well-structured palate shows cassis, cherry, cedar and mint along with savoury anise and sage with long savoury finish. This would be heavenly with rack of lamb or prime rib. A great gift wine.

Natalie's Review

Zonte's Footstep Avalon Tree Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia, Australia: Dark, fleshy ripe black and purple plums and blackberry jam. Full-bodied and smooth. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes for this robust Australian red wine grow on vines planted in the Fleurieu Peninsula, including Langhorne Creek, McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills, and are blended with some Tempranillo. The wine is named for King Arthur's legend: whomever could pull the sword Excalibur from the stone under the Avalon Tree, would rule as king. Also named for Australia's great gumtrees. Pair with grilled meats. Drink: 2016-2019. 353193 14.50% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 90/100. April 25, 2017 Best Value Red Wine. Best Beef Wine  Full Review
