Tania Thomas rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Wow, this is a truly remarkable Ontario red. The fruit for this full-bodied, concentrated wine was sources from over 30 years old vines in the Short Hill Bench of Niagara peninsula. Impressive intensity of colour and flavour. Abundant aromas and flavours of ripe blackberries, jammy ripe plums and a whiff of tobacco. Great, long, lingering smoky finish. Fantastic paired with juicy lamb roast, grilled steak or mushroom ragout. Drink now or lay down for up to five years. Tasted November 2017. Tania Thomas – www.runawaygrape.com
Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The baco noir grapes in this wine come from a single vinyard, certain parcels of which are 33 years old, which is ancient in this country. The hills they grow on are south facing with clay soils. It is aged in American oak, which imparts very modest tannins, and is a juicy offering of smoke and ripe red cherry. Perfect for pizza and burgers! (Taste Ontario, March 2017)
Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

This full-bodied, smooth, complex wine is filled with black fruit, tobacco notes and a long lingering finish of fruit and spice is one of my favourites. Can't get enough.
Paul Duffy rated this wine as 91/100
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The aromas show intensely ripe black plum and blackberry notes while the palate showcases a rich mouthfeel with pronounced ripe black fruit, vanilla, and sweet baking flavours. It's full bodied, nicely balanced and boasts a long sweet plummy finish. Pair with blue cheese bacon hamburgers. Tasted Feb 2017 - @sommsosa | co-owner of bespoketastings.ca
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dark ruby with purple hue, 13.5% ABV declared. This wine shows persistence of concentrated blackberry, dark red plum and savoury with a medium finish. Enjoyed with slightly smoked bison pepperoni and equally with pork tacos and mango cilantro salsa. Tasted Feb 2017. Rated 90/100.
