Deep ruby with purple hue. Aromas black cherries, plums, fresh herbs, and summer spices. Dry, medium tannins with soft mouthfeel. Long finish of dark juicy fruit. Score 90. (S.Segard, reviewed Sept 15, 2017)
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

The medal that is adorned on the label here represents celebration, and you certainly will feel the festivities come to life with this expressive and lively Malbec.
Medium purple colour with long legs and medium viscosity. Dark stewed cherries, plum, violets and vanilla. Also a touch of cranberry and pomegranate seed on the nose. This opens up in the flavour demonstrating plums, grilled peppers, gamey meat notes and earthiness with a touch of accented minerality on the tip of the tongue complimenting the spice elements also present. Dry, but well rounded reflecting some sweetness (7g/L) M+ body and tannins. Well balanced with a velvety finish with plum, pepper and some chewy paprika spice at the back. An elegant and refined Malbec with many pronounced layers. A perfect pairing for beef dishes and can stand up to heavy sauces.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

After drinking so many different Malbecs from the Trapiche Winery today, I find this one to be a bit too new world for me. It's a bit too sweet and also the high alcohol on the palate makes it hard to taste the true complexity of the wine.
Caitlin Coleman rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The people in Argentina love to celebrate and are passionate about what they do. This wine showcases that passion in the Malbec varietal! A deep purple colour with sweet tannins, black fruit, lavender and sweet spices on the nose. This wine has personality.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Originally released in 2008 in honour of the 125th anniversary of the Trapiche winery. This wine spent time in concrete vats during fermentation and then 18 months in new French oak. A little spicy, some pepper and minerality add a nice bite to this wine and balance with purple plum, ripe cherry flavours and a hint of a floral note. Tannins give some great structure and are screaming to be enjoyed with a beautifully grilled steak. Enjoy!
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A big dark opaque Malbec that has layers and layers of aromas and flavours. Smoke, leather, milk chocolate and dark fruits; blackberry and black cherry, Well balanced with supple tannins and a long fruit and oak finish. A full bodied wine that leaves an impression. Pair with a medium-rare steak. Tasted April 25/2017
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is a burly baby with a substantial nose of stewed/jammy blackberry, "soft" leather, smoke and spice; full-bodied, rich and juicy berries, sweet spice, garrigue and a fresh seam of acidity on the palate. Expected a long finish but it drops off a bit, still delicious though. If you're vegetarian try it with grilled, stuffed, balsamic-drizzled portobello 'shrooms.
Cora Beaulieu rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This terrific value Malbec is inky black in color and totally opaque. The nose exhibits great aromatic notes of blackberry, dark berries, plum, herbs, dark chocolate, leather, smoke, tobacco, earthy, and minerally aromas. It is fresh and pure with ripe tannins and gentle acidity balancing the big fruit. Smooth, lingering finish of spice and chocolate. Have this with a roasted beef. [Tasted April/2017]
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Velvety sexiness!
Rich purple in the glass, with aromas of blackberry, black plum and sweet spices. Full mouth feel, with a lingering spicy finish. Perfect with beef or barbecue dishes.
Tasted April 2017.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Fantastic Malbec with plum, ripe blackberry, black cherry, vanilla and oak. Grippy tannins with full, juicy body. Black cherry and chocolate finish. Pair with rare grilled beef. Tasted April 25, 2017.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Incredible! So tangy and tasty with amazing value. Bargain hunters may want to buy a case or two! Deeply concentrated purple. A big and bold declared 14.5% ABV. Perceived as high alcohol. Dense dark fruit on the nose and palate of plum, blackberry, dark chocolate. Great structure with high acidity. Well balanced. Medium plus tannins. Pair with roasted poultry dinners or pork tenderloin. Tasted the 2013 vintage on Malbec world day 2017. 93 points.
Tania Thomas rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This stunning Argentinian Malbec at an incredible value hails from Mendoza’s Uco Valley. Beautifully articulated notes of ripe black cherries and plums with layers of dark fruit and mocha. Vinified in opulent style, it displays great structure and impressive fruit density. Fresh and vibrant palate with fine, silky tannins and well-balanced acidity. Closes in a lovely, long, elegant finish. Fantastic companion for grilled meats and charcuterie. Tasted February 2017. Tania Thomas – www.taniathomas.com.
