Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

There is a wonderful freshness to this Merlot-Cab Franc blend - easy-drinking and more-ish. Lovely plummy-cherry, anise, leather, savoury, medium-bodied character with soft, vanishing tannins and a gentle spiced plum finish. Very elegant. Beef tenderloin would be a perfect match.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Wow... a Ruby red wonder! 13.5% ABV declared. Rich and complex. Supple, with complex layers of fruit. Deeply concentrated dark plum, cherry, cassis, baking spice, rose petals and minerality. Long finish with persistence of dark fruit and baking spice. Inky. Well balanced, integrating nicely, medium plus tannins, alcohol, acidity and fruit. Pairs well with aged cheese platters, braised red meats, rare Steak. Tasted April 2017. 93 points.
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Absolutely divine nose. Aromas show intense complex (ever-changing) black plum, cassis, anise, peppermint, leather, floral (violets) and 'stony-shale' minerality. The palate just equally rich black fruit flavours, and prominent baking spice notes. The 2012 vintage was a standout year for bold Ontario red wines and this one sets a high calibre. It is full-bodied, smooth, scrumptious and remarkably blended Merlot Cabernet Franc hailing from the Niagara Peninsula. Tasted April 2017 by @sommsosa - co-owner of bespoketastings.ca

Domaine Queylus Grande Reserve Merlot Cabernet Franc 2012, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario VQA, Canada: Could have sworn this was Figeac from the Right Bank of Bordeaux. Who switched my wine and gave me something more palatable at a fraction of the price? Yes please. Aromas of dark fruit and smoke. Drink: 2015-2023. 483354 13.50% XD 750 mL  $49.95 Score: 93/100.
