Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a fantastic price for Burgundy from a rock-solid producer. Entry level Burgundy can be really disappointing and fall really short of expectations. This one is different! It has tons of ripeness and a touch of complexity. It keeps thing light and fresh.
Bright ruby colour, indicating gentle treatment of the grapes. No overly bitter phenolics from over-extraction.
Aromas of rosehip, pomegranate, cranberry, red cherry, vanilla, and a touch of dried herb.
Medium bodied and soft. Pomegranate, red cherry, dried thyme, vanilla, forest floor. Pretty subtle oak influence. Lovely acidity. Fresh and ripe.
Put this alongside some turkey burgers with brie and cranberry sauce.

Natalie's Review

Maison Roche de Bellene Cuvee Reserve Pinot Noir 2014, Burgundy A.C., France: This Nicolas Potel wine is medium-bodied, and smooth: Classic Old World pinot noir that offers aromas and flavours of tart cherries, earth and some herbal notes. Good acidity for food. Awesome price for Burgundy, especially for the quality designation of AC. Finishes with lovely spice and coffee notes. Pair with smoke salmon. There are 4,620 hectares planted for this Pinot Noir and the vines are 35 to 70 years old. They're planted at a density of 10,000 per hectare with a southwest exposure in clay and limestone soils at 234 metres above sea level. The grapes were picked by hand with fermentation via native yeast and 100% malolactic fermentation, no fining. Pair with game dishes. Drink: 2016-2020. 299859 13% D 750 mL  $33.95 Score: 89/100. There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
