Tasted May 13th, 2018. Mother’s Day. Colour golden clear with mesmerizing bubbles shooting through the glass. Aromas and flavours of citrus baked bread. Taste dry minus, citrus bread on the palate tingling bubbles and a silky mouthfeel, mouthwatering and a lingering elegant finish. Oh mother is happy a very festive wine. We had it with salad of romaine, black olives tomatoes English cucumbers Asian chicken, and crumbled feta cheese with red wine vinegar and olive oil, Greek oregano salt pepper.
And the salad tasted great. The bottle emptied quickly. Highly recommended.

Impressive from the bottle inwards. Unique packaging wraps the bottle with bubbles meets fine bready crisp and tart bubbles on the inside. A wonderful accompaniment to a night out or a cozy evening in with food or on its own. Sure to please. I enjoyed tasting the Taittinger Nocturne with a jumbo sea scallop, shrimp and lobster paella. Quite frankly I'd have enjoyed it with almost anything. Well executed Champagne. Fine bubbles, great structure, brilliant acidity, well balanced and dry. An impressive aromatic profile of baked biscuits, almond croissant. Medium finish with persistence of freshly baked almond croissant. Tasted Jan 2017. Rated 92/100. A great choice for a festive Valentine's Day or a mid-winter nocturnal celebration.

Ready for a party? Then pop the Taittinger Nocture! Rich crusty bagguette, stewed apricots and citrus peel dominate the aromas and flavours. It's rich, creamy, off-dry (compared to other bubblies) and upholds a high mouthwatering acidity. Enjoy with crab cakes, smoked salmon or lobster rolls. Taittinger Nocturne Champagne , Champagne A.C., France: Toasty, bready and robust especially for a Champagne house known for the delicacy of its sparkling wines. This Champagne is a sparkling wine blend of 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. This is a special edition bottle of the Taittinger in purple glittering squares ("reflective tiles") meant to look like a disco ball. (It certainly does after several glasses of this bubbly.) The grapes are sourced from more than 30 different crus or villages and vineyards for the final blend: that's the magic of Champagne. This champagne has a slightly sweeter dosage than the regular bottles at 17.5 grams per litre and is combined is a long aging period in the winery's cellars to create a rich and robust bubbly ready for clubbing. Taittinger's Nocturne is matured for a minimum of 4 years before disgorgement (removing the dosage and sediment to put the final cork in) which creates richness and creaminess. Love this. Pair with sushi. Drink: 2016-2021. 618389 13.50% D 750 mL $68.95 Score: 94/100. January 3, 2019 Top Rated Sparkling Wine. Sensational Shellfish Wine Full Review
