Lise Charest Gagne rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Sangiovese blend of 90% Prognolo Gentille and 10% Canaiolo. The wine was produced in the production area between Val D’Orcia & Valdichiana and aged for 24 months in Tuscan casks. I read that this wine is the mid ground between a Chianti and a Brunello and totally agree. It has some weight with a medium plus body but it’s not overbearing. I LOVE that the alcohol level is at 13.5%. It’s nice to find a red with some backbone that’s not over 14% alcohol. Aromas of strawberries, red stone fruit, herbs or red tomato and some spice. Flavors of strawberries, leather and spice with a hint of clay. The acidity is medium and highlights the red fruit and spice without being jammy. This is a great wine to bring to a dinner party and I think it would hold up well with red pasta dishes or pizza or on its own after a hard day at work. Tasted April 2017.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
