Tasted June 16th 2017. Colour clear clean and a hint of green. On the nose citrus grapefruit and hints of tropical fruits. On the palate grapefruit rind tropical and lots of acid, mouthwatering. Finishes short with mouthwatering citrus and lots of acid on the upper lip. Easy drinking wine. I like it as a summer sipper chilled. Food friendly try it with shell fish, oysters. Visit Nobilo website for more food matches. A wine for the masses.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A really good New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with aromas and flavors of tropical fruit, especially Guava and Pineapple. The palate offers some lime notes among nice acidity and minerality.
David Skinner rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium straw and very clean. Bouquet of pineapple, passionfruit and melon. Crisp acidity highlights the citrus and tropical notes on the palate. Fresh and racy. The finish is medium and fruit dominant.

Fabulous with a shellfish risotto.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Nobilo Sauvignon Blancs are noted for their juicy acidity and fruit forwardness- this vintage is no exception. Prominent nose of peach, pineapple, banana. I noticed these same fruits on the palate with a hint of vegetal and herbaciousness on the finish. Crisp and lively- paired this with chicken breasts stuffed with feta and asparagus- it was a wonderful match!
Jon Steeves rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This wine is a brilliant quality Sauvignon Blanc, offering great value for money. Aromatics of tropical fruit, pineapple climbing out of the glass, passion fruit, white peaches with classic minerality, on the nose and palate. Juicy, fresh, crisp influenced by the maritime climate, moderate temperature. Paired well with crispy pork tacos. Tasted Nov 2016 - bespoketastings.ca
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

It was an honour to try this brand new vintage of an always enjoyable Sauvignon Blanc. Very balanced with lots of tropical fruit (mainly pineapple), mango, and passion fruit. Fresh, but not overly herbaceous. Tons of crisp acidity to really bring the flavours alive

Try as an aperitif to wake up the palate or with mildly spiced food, like pulled pork tacos.
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Crisp, fruity-fresh, and not what you expect from an New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Forget the typical harsh green characters, the aromas and flavours of this Marlborough Sauv Bl show pronounced guava, green mango, pineapple, and sweet basil notes. The palate is crisp and mouthwatering with a clean medium-short finish. A nice pair with tuna tartar. Tasted Nov 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jane Staples rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Fresh and lovely, with pretty aromas of white peach, citrus and freshly cut tomato stems, followed through on the tropical palate where passionfruit, guava, pineapple and mangos join the parade. Crisp and silky smooth, with a naturally occuring acidity due to the influence of Marlborough's Maritime climate. Enjoy with Thai food or Pulled Pork Tacos with Peach Chutney.
Tasted Nov. 2016
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This 2016 Sauvignon Blanc is a classic example of what the Marlborough region is known for - it is crisp and refreshing. Pale straw in the glass and aromas of pineapple and passion fruit, with hints of peach. It is zippy on the palate with lots of ripe mangoes, pineapple and a lovely acidity, characteristic of the Maritime climate. The influence of the ocean helps the SB to retain its lovely acidity. Great value. Pairs well with spicy dishes.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Great value in a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc that is a little removed from the mainstream with its lush, up-front, ripe tropical fruit notes; nicely balanced with juicy lime acidity and a touch of dry minerality. Perfect for sipping on its own but it has plenty of body to paired with Asian or Cajun/Creole cuisine.
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Marlborough is a premier region in NZ producing Sauvignon Blanc and this regional blend combines grapes from different subregions to use their best characteristics. It is refreshingly juicy with strong tropical fruit and honey notes. Pineapple, mango and citrus follow in the mouth. Its freshness and acidity pair well with spicy Thai dishes and pulled peach pork tacos.
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Assembled from Nobilo's Wairau and Awatere vineyards in Marlborough, each parcel of this Sauvignon Blanc was fermented separately to express the best character of each parcel and they blended to create the Regional Collection

The 2016 is crisp and fresh. It has a moderate intensity aromas of lime and tropical fruits. The pineapple and mango taste follows in the mouth with a lasting watery acidity. A good match with light fare, spicy dishes. Drink 2016-2017. Tasted in Nov. 2016.
Camelia Bucur rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale straw color, aromas of tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, passion fruit), stone fruit (white peaches) and subtle mineral notes. Fresh and crisp on the palate. Good acidity more juicy than a regular harsh and dry Sauvignon blanc. Enjoy with Asian Thai food or fish/pork tacos. This Sauvignon blanc is a good substitute of an off-dry Riesling. Finish is more on the mineral aspect with notes of citrus in premiere and tropical fruit in second.
Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is the perfect lunchtime apéritif: lots of tropical fruit like pineapple, mango and passion fruit, as well as apricot, grassy notes, minerality and white peach. The crisp, refreshing acidity is the hallmark of NZ sauvignon blancs. Marlborough’s maritime climate, with the moderating influence of the ocean, offers perfect conditions for creating this telltale juicy acidity. Pair this bright wine with seafood, salads or goat cheese. Delish!
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Nobilo's Regional Sauvignon Blanc is a terrific high quality and value wine that I highly recommend. As the number one selling Sauvignon Blanc in the USA, it's clearly loved by many and I can see why. This Sauvignon Blanc delivers fresh and palate cleansing layers of tropical fruit making it a real hit with any crowd. Sweet stone fruit, refreshing pineapple, passion fruit, lemon-lime, mineral and sweet herbal notes on the nose. The palate is refreshing with juicy acidity, tangy exotic fruit, and minerality on the clean finish. Enjoy pre-dinner as an aperitif and continue throughout your meal when enjoying a wide range of dishes including Thai, Asian-fusion, fish tacos, or summer salads. At this price, this wine offers exceptional value making it a must try! Tasted November 2016, at the Canadian premiere of the 2016 vintage. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
