Matt Steeves rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

There's meditation wine then there's Luce! Wow! From their first vintage in 1993, fast forward to 2013 and wow, what a remarkable success this partnership has been! Seductive, full bodied, deep and delicious, this stunning Super Tuscan blend of Merlot and Sangiovese shines in every imaginable way. Concentrated dark fruit, spice, and savory notes. The palate is rich with layers of sweet dark and dried fruits, cedar, spice, with fantastic texture. Such an impressive wine! Tasted November 2016. 94 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Natalie's Review

Luce 2013, Tuscany I.G.T., Italy: This is a wine spa for your tongue. Drop dead gorgeous. Proposal wine: any proposal. Seductive nose of black violets dipped in moonlight, fleshy black plum. But this is all about texture: satin wrapped in silk wrapped in clouds. Luce was founded in 1995 through a collaboration between Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi families. It's a heart of Tuscany wine meant to torture us with its greatness. The 2013 vintage of this Turbo Tuscan cult wine is a blend of Merlot and Sangiovese grapes. The magnum size of this wine that's equivalent to two regular 750 ml bottles. A few more years in the cellar please. Drink: 2018-2027. 964551 13.30% D 1500 mL  $297.00 Score: 98/100. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
