Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as
92/100 with the following review:
From Tuscany, Italy, this wine is comprised of mainly Sangiovese grapes. There is a great nose of dark fruit, cedar and vanilla. The flavors are rich and complex again of the ripe dark fruit, leather, smokiness, and licorice. Great acidity, well balanced, lingering finish.

The aromas of this chianti reflect the 2 year oak aging: vanilla, smoke and dried fruit. Fig, cherry and leather flavours. This is a delicious chianti to enjoy with roast pork, chicken, charcuterie or pizza.

89/100 with the following review:
Exactly what you would expect from a good Chianti. Notes of blackcurrants, blueberries, and dark cherries finished with herbaceous notes, vanilla, and smoke. Aged in small barrels for 24 months to achieve depth, body, and smoothness. The major grape variety is Sangiovese, with complementary varieties added as well. Definitely a crowd-pleasing wine with pleasant acidity which makes it very food friendly. Good pairing with Veal Saltinbocca, beef tenderloin, and pasta bolognese.

The Frescobaldi family is intimately linked to the history of Tuscany itself. With over 700 years of wine making in the region, the family still artfully crafts wines with the utmost respect for tradition and the land.
This yummy Chianti is crafted with Sangiovese and complementary grapes (Malvasia nera, Colorino, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon).
Deep ruby red in color. Earthy and seductive on the nose with ripe raspberry, vanilla, dried herbs and wet autumnal forest floor aromas.
Warm and velvety on the palate. Lots of red fruit, Dutch cacao and a slight bitterness.
Great accompaniment for tomato based pasta dishes.

90/100 with the following review:
Alex: Sangiovese in Chianti Ruffina. Very classy, elegant nose. Gentle dried herbs and spice danc around sweet and sour black cherry fruit with hints of liquorice. The graceful nose mirrors the palate as well--seamless and crystal clear integration of Sangiovese fruit, juicy acidity and savoury finish of good length.
Priya: I don't know about all that but what I do know is that I could get tipsy on the aroma alone, it's so rich and heady! The taste is a bit salty but has plenty of ripe fruit to balance and soft tannins to take the edge off. Just a tad on the dry, robust side for me overall.

Marchesi de Frescobaldi Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina 2012, Tuscany DOC, Italy: This robust northern Italian wine is made mostly from Sangiovese grapes. It has great elegance, finesse and length on the finish. It's not as acidic as typical Sangiovese and therefore is soft and easy to drink, though still packed with dark red fruit flavour and spice. Pair with grilled chicken. Drink: 2014-2020. 107276 13% XD 750 mL $21.75 Score: 91/100. October 17, 2016 Top Rated Red Wine. Full Review
