Lise Charest Gagne rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The blend of grapes was grown organically surrounded by forests. The one vineyard is influenced by protection from the cool Pacific Coast winds by the Santa Lucia Mountains.
Rich aroma of ripe honeydew, wet slate and something seductively smooth and silky likely from the 100% malolactic fermentation. Perhaps it's a beeswax characteristics from the vineyard name of Beeswax! I taste Asian pear, lemongrass and bright lemon butter with some herbs. The components are sharply layered yet smoothly integrated, its elegant. A long finish lingers of buttery citrus and minerals. Enjoyed in Sept 2017 with some baked sole topped with roasted heirloom cherry tomatoes, citrus and goat feta.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted July 23rd, 2017, during the Sunday Sipper club with guest Randall Graham of Bonny Doon Vineyard. Colour yellow gold clear and brilliant. Thick medium plus legs. Aromas of ripe pear, lemon, quince. Taste, very dry, silky oily texture, long citrus rind finish, I like this wine because it is aromatic and flavourful, the wine grows on you. I ate welsh cheddar with it and paired it with a simple stir fry, jasmine rice, beef strips flavoured with sake and soy, white mushrooms and snow peas.

Natalie's Review

Bonny Doon Le Cigare Blanc Roussanne Grenache Blanc 2013, Arroyo Seco, Central Coast, California, United States: This gorgeous Californian white blend of Roussanne and Grenache Blanc grapes, traditionally grown in the Rhone Valley, but in this wine achieve a Californian signature. The vineyard from which these grapes are sourced is named Beeswax, and is certified biodynamic by Demeter. This wine offers attractive notes of honey, beeswax (naturally), guava and lemongrass. Just slightly off-dry. Drink it as an aperitif throughout the holiday season or pair with shellfish. Drink: 2016-2019. 95331 14.30% XD 750 mL  $34.95 Score: 93/100.
