Marco Giovanetti rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

On the nose notes of black fruit compote with vanilla cream and seasoned oak. On the mouth, generous with ripe fruit and sweet and supple tannins. Good balance between concentration and acidity. Perfect with pulled pork bbq sandwich

Two years on and with more oak this is a very different animal than the subdued '14, integrated but on the other side of the aromosphere. The oak is dominant, vanilla and cocoa are the great waft in what is ostensibly pitch perfect fruit, in bottle on the dark side of the moon. Coconut, vanilla extract and cinnamon. The wood brings layered and sheathed character. Very plush and notes Jorge, "if you come to Cariñena to experience Garnacha, this wine will allow you to discover the wonders of American oak." The deep fruit and earth melded into and by the barrel makes for a very pleasurable drop. The '08 released into the Ontario market in November 2014 lends credence to the ageability of this Garnacha. Drink 2015-2019. Tasted October 2015
Monique Sosa rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Delicious and the price is right! This Garnacha is packing juicy berry notes including: raspberry, cherry, and blueberry. Overall, this Spanish gem is medium bodied, easy drinking with moderate tannins and a much appreciated sky high acidity, simply leaving the palate salivating for another sip. Enjoy pairing this Spanish red with cedar-planked salmon. It's a sure-fire BBQ crowd pleaser. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Jane Staples rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From Aragon, Spain, made entirely from 80-yr-old local Garnacha, aged 8 mos in French & American oak. Fragrant ripe raspberries, vanilla, spice and toast aromatics followed by a palate giving ripe raspberry jam, vanilla, allspice and minerality, with bright acidity and long raspberry liquor finish. Excellent value.

Menguante Selección Garnacha 2012, Carinena D.O.P., Spain: Juicy and succulent with lip-smacking flavours of fleshy blueberries. Fresh, aromatic nose of purple plums and blueberries. Darker on the palate with acidity and some sour fruit. Full-bodied and smooth. Pair with barbecued ribs. Drink: 2014-2018. 313833 14% XD 750 mL  $16.95 Score: 89/100.
