91/100 with the following review:
A nose full of black cherry, mint, dark chocolate, coffee, leather and vanilla. In the mouth it is a really well balanced fruit to earth flavour. Lots of cassis and vanilla, leather and dark caramel or rather cherry coke. Medium bodied and such well integrated tannins this is a great wine to pair with Korean short rib tacos, lamb meatballs, and smoked cheeses. Drink now to 5 years

Dark ruby in colour with aromas of black cherry, plum, cedar, mint, vanilla, smoke and blackberry. It has flavours of black cherry, plum and vanilla. The wine is medium bodied with well balanced tannins and acidity. This Cab Sauv will pair nicely with a nice grilled steak.

Smoke, vanilla and red fruit on the nose. The palate really brings out the vanilla and cherry with some licorice notes on the finish. End with soft tannins and a velvety finish. Great paring for beef fajitas.

85/100 with the following review:
Pronounced toasty oak on the nose, with underlying jammy black fruit and sweet spice. Off dry, with a soft, fleshy texture, full body, bold, jammy core and oak dominant finish, with warming alcohol. A little overblown for my tastes.

An absolute stand out Cabernet Sauvignon, especially for the price! Bold, complex, and layered with rich dark berries, sweet spice, roasted beets, herbs, and a touch of under brush. The palate is soft with delicate integrated tannins, allowing the plum, fig, and baking spices to shine on the long finish. An ideal Cab to enjoy with summer BBQ fare, or hearty dishes in the cooler seasons. Enjoy 2016-2020. Tasted June 2016. 90+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca

Washington State cabernet sauvignons never fail to please, and this is no exception. Gorgeous ripe fruit on the nose (blackberry, black cherry) as well as vanilla, cola, fig, chocolate, and clove. It is medium- to full-bodied, with dark fruit, chocolate and sweet spice on the palate. What a treat! This wine has great acidity and not a lot of tannin, so it works with a wide range of dishes, including the delicious chimichurri beef at SideDoor. Sure to be a crowd pleaser.

87/100 with the following review:
A bold bargain Cabernet Sauvignon with pronounced jammy berry, black plum, licorice and all spice notes. You can't the deny the presence of residual sugars on this one! It's trending off-dry to medium on my palate. Thus, I find that the acidity (moderate-mild) and tannins (mild) is a touch lacking for its fruity body. I reckon that this pairs fabulously with sweet smoky mesquite bbq. I enjoy pairing it with ribs or chicken wings. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa @bespoketastings
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
An excellent wine, especially considering the price of $17.95. Aromas include some ripe berry and currant, with some warm smoke and a hint of mocha. Smoky flavours are more subtle on the palate, and fruit and berry flavours are more forward. There is a bit of vanilla on the finish. Tannins are soft, they would stand up to red meat, but are not overwhelming. Again, a really tasty wine and great value! Try with red meats, or grilled pork.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
The 2013 summer was warm, with a cooler September allowing for longer hang-time for the fruit. This perfect combination contributed to the wine's balance and complexity. Aromas and flavours of ripe black plum, smoke, vanilla, blackberry and dark chocolate with a long, plum and dark chocolate finish. The tannins are smooth and the acidity is lively. The wine is well-balanced and very well priced. Tasted June, 2016.
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
This hearty Cabernet Sauvignon blends old world flair with new world freshness. Peppery aromas of blackberry are followed by plum and chocolate on the palate. It would pair very nicely with prime rib. It is very well priced at $17.95.

The CabSauv was my favorite of this tasting.
I was extremely surprised by its silkiness (the winemaker Juan Munos Oca explained us that it was mostly thanks to the very favorable climate of the Columbia River region).
Very interesting wine with a very good price point. The nose is very aromatic with kirsch, chocolate and an elegant hint of oak.
The mouth is very smooth balanced by a medium acidity.
I would drink it with a beef rib or a dark chocolate desert.

Columbia Crest Winery Grand Estates Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Columbia Valley, Washington State, United States: The soils aren't heavy and rich in this wine region of Washington state; rather they're more like sand traps on a golf course so they don't retain water and make the vines work hard. That's a good thing and results in smaller, more flavourful grapes and wine. Also eastern Washington where these vineyards are located is the driest part of the state. It can be 19 degrees C and raining in Seattle (on the other side of the Cascade Mountains) but 35 degrees and dry here. As well it rains mostly in the winter when moisture doesn't bloat the grapes, which aren't growing at that time. Therefore the winemaker can control the amount of wine during the dry growing season so the wines develop the same intensity of flavour as warm climate wines but the cool nights preserve balance and freshness. This Cabernet features Old World flare and styling with New World fruit and power. Aromas of black fruit, mocha and vanilla spice. Pair this with prime rib.
