Aromas of blackberry. Tart cherry, vanilla and toasty palette with dancing tannins. Smooth, lingering finish.
Not 'hit over your head' oaky like some of its Californian counterparts. Well balanced and delightful!
Luc Delorme rated this wine as

This wine's nose of ripe berries and cherry also exhibits significant pepper and spice secondary characteristics; this wine likely spent some time on American Oak. Similar flavours entice the palate with some rich vanilla tones to add complexity. With noticeable but not overbearing tannins and an ever so slight level of residual sweetness, this will is very well integreated.
Superb value for an approachable Cab that doesn't try to be as bold as its Californian cousins. The result is very successful!

Not only a great wine but great value as well. Full of red fruits and toast with long finish with gentle tannic pull. Definitely adding this to my to buy list. This is the quality that we have to associate with Washington state.

Suave and delicious, this Cab Sauv is a great value from a producer is a giant in Washington State wine. Columia Crest/Chateau St. michelle own the vast majority of what grows across the state. The region's wines are becoming known for epic levels of ripeness, structure, and concentration. The weather can be so extreme that the vines are stressed significantly, which leads to excellent fruit quality.
Aromatically compelling. It has dried cranberry and toasty oak on the entry. Effusive, with a dried herb note that balances out the fruit.
The palate has great acid balance. The nights get rather cool in parts of Washington - helping the aromatics and acid levels. Jalapeno jelly, cranberry, cherry, cocoa, and chickory coffee.
This wine is no slouch. Lots of energy. It has a lot of red fruit, so it could be more versatile with a range of grilled meats, as well as hearty fall soups.

For $20.95 there's no surprise that this is Washington State's best selling Cabernet at the LCBO! Chalked full of sweet dark fruit, black currants, black cherries and plum. It's boldly flavoured and silky smooth - there's no wonder why it's so popular! Enjoy 2016-2020 with BBQ fare, braised beef, or on its own. Tasted June 2016. 89 points. 89/100 with the following review:
I've tried some previous vintages of this wine, and it is consistently one I would recommend. Readily available in Ontario, this is a full bodied and flavourful Cab that offers great value. Aromas include currants, ripe cherry and a bit of an earthy note. Nice fruit on the palate with a bit of a mocha hint. Soft but present tannins (some might call them "dusty" but in a good way. Medium to long finish. A no-brainer choice for steak night, or hearty portobello mushroom dishes.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is full-bodied and bold with aromas and flavours of forest floor, black currant, dark chocolate and cherry. It's velvety tannins with a hint of mineral on the finish give it a lovely balance. Tasted June, 2016.
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
This Cabernet Sauvignon is the best selling wine from Washington State in Canada and I can see why. It has a lot of depth and intensity with cherry, vanilla and slightly spicy notes and flavors of dark berry with a very smooth finish. It would be great with a grilled steak or a hearty pasta dish.

Columbia Crest Winery H3 Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Washington, United States: This Washington state Cabernet yields only 3 tons per acre as compared to the entry level Columbia Crest wines at 4.5 tons per acre. That means that the H3 line has more power and concentration, yet also great finesse. Columbia Crest owns this label: the winery is the oldest in Washington state and first planted grapes in 1978. This wine features notes of black cherry and spice. Firm structure. Decant 102 hours. Pair with beef tenderloin. Drink: 2015-2020. 210047 14% D 750 mL $22.95 Score: 90/100.
