Nicole Lewis rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
A complex nose of coconut bread and yeast, hints of lemon are offered. Many joyous, lovely, refreshing bubbles tumble from the glass... This is a dry, medium-bodied, medium-acidity, Champagne styled sparkler that possesses flavours of fresh sourdough bread, and lemon curd. Very food friendly and versatile. Good enough to have with raw oysters on the shell.

Pale pink with fine bubbles, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Nicely balanced, fresh acidity, apple, toast, lemon zest.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
Lots of lime zest and minerality with a little green apple and toastiness. The taste is not as bright and lime-y as the aroma would have you believe, with more tropical fruit showing up.
Terry Jeans rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
A delicious traditional method sparkling, with the classic champagne aromas of toasty bready, yeasty notes. Mouthwatering acidity, dry and complex. Would be a great companion to oysters or at a celebration all on it's own.
Jon Steeves rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
Brilliant pale straw with elegant fine bubbles and 12.5% ABV. This is a cuvée classique with refreshing vibrant acidity, tart citrus notes and a hint of herb. Wonderful choice for summer sipping, garden parties, a patio pleaser at heart and an easy win for any occasion. @jonsteeves rated 89/100 - tasted May 2016

This pale straw bubbly version of Chardonnay has a yeasty, green apple aroma. Flavours of ripe peach and citrus fill the mouth making it a nice pre-dinner drink on its own.
Greg Hughes rated this wine as
91/100 with the following review:
I am always pleased with the consistency of this cuvee from Featherstone, year after year. They vintage date it so it always showcases the vintage, but it is always balanced and well made. 2012 was a hot year, but this wine doesn't expend freshness or structure. It just has very ripe fruit and precision.
Good, persistent bubbles that are nice and creamy on the palate.
Pale straw colour, with heady aromatics. Some lemon, biscuit, and graphite. It smells pretty lean and refreshing.
No disappointments on the palate. More complex citrus flavours of lemon cake, clementine, quince, and granny smith apple. This could evolve further for a few years, but it is pretty good now.
This wine is 100% Chardonnay. Don't be scared off by the crowncap closure. Most sparkling, even Champagne, use crowncaps in their cellars. They only move to cork afterwards because they know consumers associate it with better quality. More and more places will go to crowns in the future. It is better for the wine too, generally.
Put this wine alongside some P.E.I. oysters for a proper example of what Canadian cuisine can really achieve.
Colin McKone rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
Sparkling and a very pale straw in colour with aromas of green apple, bread, apricot. The apricot, green apple and some citrus flavours display nicely along with some yeast. Great to enjoy with green salads or on its own.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
Delicate bubbles with aromas of baked bread, red apple, lemon and wet stone. Citrus and Granny Smith apple on the palate with a citrus finish.
Melanie Aubert rated this wine as
89/100 with the following review:
Very pale yellow in colour and typically chardonnay on the nose: tropical fruit, stone fruit and citrus. On the palate, the peach and apricot really jump out in addition to the yeasty notes from the methode traditionnelle. Delicate effervescence makes it perfect for an aperitif on a hot, summer day.

Featherstone Cuvee Joy Sparkling 2012, Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Remarkably toasty and robust -- reminds me of Bollinger Champagne, but this has its own story. Toasted bread and crisp orchard fruit. Perfect as an aperitif or companion to shellfish or seafood. Drink: 2013-2019. 310334 12.50% D 750 mL $34.95 Score: 93/100.
