Heather Wall rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Plenty of warm sunshine packed in to this Aussie Shiraz from South Australia. Fresh bitten cherries, cassis, licorice, warm baking spices and Christmas cake - I almost want to drink this with warm custard. Full-bodied, balanced acidity and a lingering peppered fruit finish. Pair this with equally weighty foods such as fine cuts of grilled red meats or roasted rack of lamb. Good value and makes a great host/hostess gift for the holidays.

Jane Staples rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Dark garnet with jammy dark fruit aromas of raspberry/plum/strawberry. The palate shows dark plums, cassis, blackberry, vanilla, cloves, dark chocolate, oak and a dash of pepper. Dry, full-bodied, strong tannic pull . Dark berry finish that with chocolate echos.

Matt Steeves rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Incredibly rich and flavorful Shiraz from Sarah & Sparky Marquis. This South Australian Shiraz is jam-packed with layers upon layers of blackberry, dark cherry, baking spice, and the essence of a fancy black forest cake. Dry, with great dark fruit intensity, this uber richly flavoured Shiraz has more than a pretty lable that's packing the big flavour punch. Super smooth and balanced, this is a superb wine to pair with BBQ ribs, steaks, aged cheese, or other richly flavoured dishes like Osso Buco. Tasted April 2016. 93 points. Natalie's Review

Mollydooker The Boxer Shiraz 2014, South Australia, Australia: Crazy high alcohol but somehow it still comes together and tastes balanced within the context with this towering wine. Black fruit, smoke and rich fruitcake aromas on the nose. Full-bodied and supple with generous layers of flavour. Blueberries and blackberries on the finish. Loaded with black fruit, the 2014 vintage of The Boxer Shiraz offers blackberry jam and dark spice on the finish. Drink: 2016-2020. 246595 16% XD 750 mL  $33.95 Score: 92/100.
