Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fresh and bold unoaked Chardonnay with lots of body and flavours. Aromas of pineapple, pear, hints of banana, along with buttery macadamia nut and a touch of honey. Full bodied on the palate, creamy but a clean texture, with fresh, sun-ripened tropical flavours, rich golden pears, and a smooth honey butter finish. Enjoy with creamy pastas or roasted chicken.
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Unoaked, this Californian Chardonnay offers aromas of bruised yellow apple, pear, starfruit, banana chips, floral notes, butter, and hints of brine.

Full-bodied and dry on the palate with medium acidity, a pleasant mouthfeel, and notes of lemon and baked apple, with a subtle nutty undertone.

Pair with chicken alfredo, salmon or roasted pork.

A fresh and lively unoaked California Chardonnay from Mer Soleil winery.
Aromas of apples, starfruit, and freshly cut herbs transform into a lemon-lime flavour finish.
Pair with creamy pasta dishes or mango salad.

Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Subtle lemon and golden delicious apple, wet stone nose - a bit closed, but palate opens up with a repeat of the nose and a very smooth/creamy (full malo?) almost oily mouthfeel. Most people will be familiar with the unctuous, oaky original Mer Soleil, but this is the more price-sensible, completely unoaked cousin. Try it with grilled haloumi and pesto!

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

For an unoaked Chardonnay this white from the California Santa Lucia Highlands still presents with a creamy mouthfeel - leading me to believe there has been some malolactic fermentation. No oak flavours here - true tropical flavours and aromas shine through. Medum/Full body with low/medium acidity. Alcohol rings in at 14.3% which is fairly substantial for an unoaked Chardonnay.
This would be a great food wine - seafoods with some creamy sauces come to mind. Tasted March 22/2022 @MerSoleilWines @CalifWines_CA @CalifWines_US @tasteusa_ca #californiawine

Mer Soleil Silver 2019, an unoaked Chardonnay from Monterey County, California, offers aromas of yellow apple, mango, citrus blossom, crushed gravel, baking spice and almond. Its full body, agreeable round finish and balanced acidity offer great pairing potential. Palate: yellow apple, starfruit, citrus blossom, saline, spice and pie crust. Enjoy.
Craig Haynes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Stunning aromas reminiscent of citrus, yellow pears, ripe tropical fruit, micro doses of floral and minerality team up nicely with this unoaked Chardonnay’s modest citrusy and stone fruit flavours. From California’s Monterey AVA, this food friendly experience is capped off with lingering, right sized acidity and a flavourful finish.

I’d serve this extra dry, medium bodied chard with comfort pastas as well as roasted chicken fare. Enjoy
