Simon Chen rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

I was really excited to try this bottle since I really liked their 12' vintage. It disappointed me at the beginning, it was closed, flat and very plummy. After 30min of decanting, there are more floral, black fruits, and leather aromas. Richer fruits on the initial palate, medium body and medium tannin
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This well respected producer made this wine from grapes sourced from Alexander Valley, in the Northern inland stretches parallel to the Sonoma Coast. It discovered and claims some of the most prestigious single vineyard plots in all of Alexander Valley.
Deep, dark purple, with ruby edges.
The acidity is a little noticeable initially (sweet tarts?), but lets go with some air-time. Tons of primary fruit: cherry, cassis, blackberry, fig, and damson. Great spice dimension too. Roasted filberts, charred wood, milk chocolate, and nutmeg.
I've seen this modest offering age for a long time - up to 15-20 years. Good, reliable cellaring choice.... If you can keep your hands off it.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
