Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Rich, boozy aromas of overripe berries and plum, sweet and smoky crème brulee. This is a heavy wine that I would pair with a plate of aged cheeses (cheddar, gouda, and parmesan) that will offset the ripeness of the wine with some cheesy tang.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Terrific red from Southern Rhone with succulent blackberry and cherry jam, vanilla, black pepper aromas. Smooth tannins with a long, cherry and vanilla finish. Try with rack of Lamb. Tasted April 3, 2016.
Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Medium purple. Slightly closed, with mixed dark and red fruits and subtle garrigue notes. Vibrant, smooth, very juicy and fruity. The tannins are still quite big and chunky. Needs a little time to unwind. Very attractive for the price.
Bill Wright Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Berries, spice and leather. Nice tannic pull and full fruit flavours. Long fruit and black pepper finish. This is a great value wine.
Tasted April 3/16
Devon rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A great buy for under $20. Intricate mix of berries, black pepper spice, leather, game notes. Each taste can bring your senses something new. Pair with red meats.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I am usually a fan of GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mouvedre) and this one doesn't disappoint. Nice berry aromas with some spice and leather. Berry and leather on the palate, bright acid, medium tannins and a lingering finish. A nice wine for steak or maybe even to enjoy with charcuterie.
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A nice example of a GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre) …
Presentation: Nice, it has a certain elegance to it, refined
Appearance: Medium-dark ruby red
Nose: Cigar box, leather
Taste: Leather, earth, tannins, cigar box
Finish: Some sweetness mixed into the leather and tannins
Overall impression: A nice example of a GSM that can pair well with cheeses and meats
Value: 3.5/5
Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lovely nose of elevated (candied) fruit and berries. Generous palate with berries and a touch of tannin and leather late. More than enough fruit to age this one and be rewarded. Try it now - try it again in 2018.
Alex & Priya rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Alex: Pretty floral and spicy nose, lavender, cracked pepper, blackberries and grape crush soft drink. Firm tannin structure reigns over a lean body thats juicy and with plenty of spicy-savory complexity. Moderate length but a solid drop, and a refreshing counterpoint to the often heavier styles of this rhone village. 88pts

Priya: I love the name 'vacqueyras', it sounds so melodic and romantic. This wine has that feel as well--of romance. It has a nice, rounded flavour with just the right amount of a tannic kick. Supple is a word I'd use to describe this wine. Yes, supple. 88pts
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tart cherry, smoke, plum, and cigar box aromas. The aromas are nice but this wine really hits you with its taste and mouth-feel. It's got nice grippy tannins, high acidity and tart black cherry flavours. There's a long, smoky, tannic black cherry finish. Perfect for rare red meat.
