Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Very smooth, round aromas of cassis, red cherry, and milk chocolate. Wonderful silky mouth-feel with the juicy fruit of the cherries and a hint of the chocolate coming through along with a touch of soft tannins. Pair with roast pork and potatoes.
Terry Jeans rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

You do not see many merlots from New Zealand, but this a perfect example of the diversity of wines that can be grown in there. This is near full bodied, juicy red fruit, tannic blockbuster of Merlot. It has low acidity and a lingering ripe fruit finish. Perfect for Lamb sliders done on the bbq!
Jane Staples rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

A beautifully expressive Merlot from NZ's Hawke's Bay region. Vibrant aromatics of ripe cassis and blackberry, with a luscious palate giving more dark berry and black plum flavours with just a hint of oak. Smooth, satiny and dry with fine tannins; delicious to the last drop! Watch for it in Vintages in 2017.

Natalie's Review

Oyster Bay Merlot 2014, Hawkes Bay, North Island, New Zealand: Round, smooth, supple Merlot with enticing aromas and flavours of fleshy black plum and blackberry on the nose and palate. Medium- to almost full-bodied. This would be a great match for grilled pork chops. Drink: 2014-2017. 692343 13% D 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 90/100. June 5, 2016 Best Value Red Wine.
