Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Chocolatey, nutty, loaded with ripe black currants and a hint of black cherry liqueur. This wine is bold without being overpowering. Great pairing for steak or grilled blood sausage. I'm 91 on this wine. (ottawawinejournal.com)
Jane Staples rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Just discovered this fragrant, jammy Cab Sauv which gives a wonderful mouthfull of ripe cassis, strawberry jam, cinnamon, cloves, mint, slight earthiness and milk chocolate. Supple and dry, with a lingering fruit and chocolate finish. Will buy this again.

Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Just when I believe I have a handle on what the Tarapaca style is (lighter, smoother) they come out with this one. Bigger than prior years. Beautiful purity of black fruit, with a Chilean chalky mineral accent late.

Natalie's Review

Viña Tarapacá Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, Maipo Valley, Chile: A savoury and juicy Chilean cabernet sauvignon with aromas of fleshy black plums and blackberries. A full-bodied red wine that's smooth and eminently gulpable. Dark red in the glass, mouth-filling in the palate. Finishes with smoke and spice. Great with pizza. Terrific for such a bold red wine from Chile's Maipo Valley. Great depth and length in the glass and on the palate. Try it with gourmet hamburgers.
