Monique Sosa rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A decent Italian red blend with mild floral and berry aromas. The palate is med bodied with moderate acidity and grippy tannins. This wine not necessarily out of balance but lacks a bit of complexity in flavours. Enjoy with a meaty pizza. Tasted July 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
Alex & Priya rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Alex: Rustic, savoury and old school in every way is the 2012 Lungarotti Rubesco. Thyme and sage dried herbs season rich plum and zesty sour cherry tones with a background touch of potpourri and old leather comprise the nose. The palate is largely medium-bodied with prickly acids and a fair dollop of chalky grape tannin. Spicy, savoury, very much like a pasta it would pair best with. Veal parmigiano anyone? 88 pts

Natalie's Review

Lungarotti Rubesco Sangiovese Canaiolo Colorino 2012, Rosso Di Torgiano, Umbria D.O.C., Italy: Very tart, acidic and tannic: sour cherry notes with blackened earth. Perfect for a tangy, acidic tomato sauce best served in a rustic Italian taverna with Mamma coaxing you to eat more ... You are too thin! This rustic Italian red wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Canailo and Colorino grapes. Lots of minerality and earthy notes. Drink: 2015-2018. 368548 13.50% XD 750 mL  $72.25 Score: 88/100. There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
