Powerful yet elegant - after being decanted for a couple hours. Aromas and flavours show moderate developing baking spice, mocha, black plum, wild mint and graphite mineral notes. The palate goes from soft and supple to bold and spicy. Acidity, flavour concentration, and tannins are nicely balance. Tannins are still standing out so definitely remember to decant for minimun two hours prior to serving. Tasted Nov 2016 - @sommsosa / bespoketastings.ca

90/100 with the following review:
Cab Sauvignon and Grenache supporting a blend that is mostly Mourvedre. Yecla is a fairly modern region and this wine reflects that. A balance of new and used, French and American oak was utilized. The incorporation of Cabernet Sauvignon gives it a lithe and aromatic quality that elevates a blend that would be weighed down otherwise. It was grown at high altitudes, which stresses the grapes and increases exposure, leading to balanced ripening.
Woodsy and spiced on the aromas. Brown spices and burning wood. There is some nice fruit peeking through. Stewed mulberries, damson plums, and bramble.
The flavours have more red fruit - raspberry and leaf, apple skin, cassis, bramble, and a finished of coffee amd vanilla.
Good value on a tasty red built for barbecues. Pair it with ground lamb or kebabs.

Mmm, loads of black cherry/berry, licorice, spice, woody-leather and sturdy tannins. Really like this one at this price. Put a couple away for a year or drink tonight with steak and roast fingerling potatoes.

Cinnamon, pine needles, new leather, and blackberry. Lots of aromas from the barrel. The taste is blackberry with a touch of dark cherry and some of the smoky notes from the aroma come through. A great wine for stew.

From the emerging Yecla region of southern Spain, this robust red blend is comprised of 70% Monastrell, 15% Cab Sauv, and 15% Garnacha Tintorera. Stewed dark fruit, plum, fig, and smoky oak fills the nose. Sweet fruit and lively tannins fill the palate of this youthful and playful wine. Enjoy with braised dishes over the next few years.
