Sean O'Regan rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep garnet, currant, plum, blackberry and mint notes on the nose. Medium full body, rich ripe fruit without being jammy, and kept fresh on the palate with good acidity. Blackberry, blueberry and currants lead the charge on the palate with the eucalyptus/mint notes not far behind. A solid value at $17, and gets better with each sip. Decant for an hour and serve with braised beef or rare venison chops with blueberry/fig sauce.
Terry Jeans rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Smoke, dark fruit and spice on the nose, matched with a full-bodied flavour. Matched on the palate with decent acidity, oak, and hefty tannins. I would think this would be a favorite with bbq fare. Good value and crowd pleasing.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Almost 1/2 and 1/2 Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cab lends some fresh mint and blackberry notes. The Shiraz rounds out the nose with hints of pepper and dried herbs.
Medium tannins and some acidity to balance there is lots of fruit in the finish. This is a wine to drink now and over the next 4-5 years. If you like to bbq for friends and family this would make a great accompaniment.
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Dark meaty aromas of blackberry and blueberry with lots of smoke and spice. The taste is big, bold and spicy with grippy, fairly rounded tannins. There's medium acidity and a medium spicy plum finish. This should be a great pairing with rich beef stew.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Slightly smoky, aromas of pepper, anise, and currant. Bright fruit on the palate. Great acidity, light tannins. Would be great with pork tenderloin.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fragrant cassis and milk chocolate nose followed by a full-bodied spicy jammy palate with touch of pepper. Decant briefly then enjoy with spicy ribs.
