Courtney Flood rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Cassis, cocoa, prune, vanilla, and black pepper. Anise and cinnamon finish. Very beautifully made.
Terry Jeans rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Spicy and luscious on the nose with anise, eucalyptus, mint and stewed red fruits. Complex and attractive nose with equally ripe flavours and spice one the palette. Full-bodied, yet well integrated tannins and acidity. Would go well with steak frites.
Sean O'Regan rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Deep purple, plum, blackberry, spice and some herbal/floral tones on the nose. Full, dense and extracted on the palate with black cherry, plum, spice and toasty cedar. Fine chalky tannins persist through the rich fruit and juicy acidity. Long finish. This is a big wine that while approachable now, will really come together with 2-3 more years in the cellar. Pair with rich full flavoured dishes - beef/game roasts come to mind.

Heather Wall rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An abundance of black fruit and warm baking spices on the nose and palate. Full-bodied with some fine tannins and medium acidi. A warm alcoholic fruit driven finish.
I would suggest decanting prior to serving. Pair with grilled meats (well charred). Lots of sauce.
